Choosing your scissors
Blade profile, handle geometry, size, and intended technique all affect how a scissor feels. Use this page as a selection guide, then confirm the current specification of an individual model with an approved distributor before ordering.
Model-specific specifications
Steel grade, hardness, tooth count, coating, and available size vary across the Ichiro range. Product availability can also differ by market. The collection overview is a starting point; your distributor can confirm the exact model supplied in your region.
Blade profiles
Convex edge

Many Ichiro cutting models use a convex-edge profile designed for smooth, controlled cutting. This edge geometry should be serviced by a sharpener with specific experience in convex hairdressing scissors.
Cutting and thinning
Cutting scissors use two cutting blades. Thinning models pair a toothed blade with a cutting blade for blending, texture, and volume control. Tooth count and removal rate vary by model, so choose these with the intended technique in mind.
Handle and fit

Offset handles place the thumb ring lower than the finger ring and may support a more neutral hand position for some stylists. Fit is personal: hand size, grip, cutting position, and dominant hand all matter. Left-handed professionals should choose a true left-handed model rather than adapting a right-handed pair.
Colour finishes
Colour-coated finishes change the appearance of selected models. They should not be treated as a medical or allergy claim. If you have a known metal or coating sensitivity, ask the distributor to confirm the material and coating composition before use.
