Thinning and texturising scissors
Thinning and texturising models use a toothed blade to control how hair is removed and blended. Tooth count alone does not determine the removal rate: tooth shape, spacing, cutting-blade geometry, and test method also matter.
Confirm the stated removal rate for the exact model, and choose it around the finish you want rather than assuming that two scissors with the same tooth count will behave alike.
Right- and left-hand configuration
A true left-hand model uses the corresponding blade orientation as well as a suitable handle. A symmetrical-looking handle does not make a right-hand blade suitable for left-hand use.
State your dominant hand when enquiring and ask the distributor to confirm the blade orientation of the exact product. Left-hand availability varies by model and market.
Handle, size, and balance
Offset, even, and other handle layouts change thumb position and working posture, but comfort is individual. Hand size, grip, finger inserts, blade length, weight, and balance should be considered together.
