The convex edge

The convex edge is sharpened in a smooth curve. There is no flat bevel on the blade.

This is why the cut feels effortless. Why the hair does not snag. Why slicing techniques work cleanly.

The edge takes longer to make than a beveled blade. It also lasts longer.

The offset handle

Repetitive strain injury is the quiet cost of long days at the chair. Carpal tunnel. Tendonitis. The hand and wrist remember every cut.

The offset handle places the thumb hole below the finger hole. The hand falls into a more natural position. The shoulder drops. The elbow softens.

For left-handed stylists

A true left-handed scissor is reversed from the blade up — not just the handle.

The cutting edge sits on the left side of the blade. The thumb ring sits on the opposite side. The full geometry is built for the left hand.

Thinning scissors

Thinning scissors use a different mechanism than cutting scissors. V-shaped teeth on one blade pair with a convex edge on the other.
